Why Use Powder Protein?

People interested in weight loss or muscle gain often turn to protein powder and protein shakes. Powder protein can help boost metabolism and muscle gain, which in turn can facilitate weight loss and loss of fat.

Protein bars are becoming more and more common. They usually give approximately 20 to 40 g of protein with little carbs and fat. Meal replacement products like shake protein drinks combine protein, carbohydrates and fats to create a complete meal.

Ingesting protein powders or higher amounts of protein per day in general will promote lean muscle growth. You won't get huge muscles from drinking protein shakes unless you are also doing high intensity weightlifting. And if you choose a protein powder that contains glutamine and amino acids, your body's immune system will be enhanced, along with your stamina and recovery time from exercise.

Whether you use protein powder to lose weight or build muscle is purely a personal decision, but in either case, an increased protein intake is necessary. Obviously, there are ways to do this without powder protein, but researchers and bodybuilders alike have found that by using protein powder supplements they are able to optimize muscle building while saving time.
