Using Liposuction Surgery
and Laser Liposuction To Remove Cellulite

Liposuction surgery, also known as lipodissolve, is a plastic surgery procedure that uses suction to remove localized deposits of rolled fat from beneath the skin. There is also a process called laser liposuction and an ultrasonic liposuction procedure. The liposuction cost varies from cosmetic surgery to reconstructive surgery for weight loss.

Liposuction surgery is often defined by the parts of the body such as tumescent liposuction, chin liposuction, tummy liposuction, neck liposuction, abdominal liposuction, thigh liposuction, and arm liposuction, for example. Breast liposuction can be done for breast reduction or augmentation. There is also male liposuction.

Liposuction is also known as lipo dissolve, lipoplasty body contour, lipo sculpture, or simply lipo. LIFO suction is a procedure that is almost always used in conjunction with other surgical techniques. Its use varies depending upon the ultimate cosmetic goal.

When liposuction was first introduced in 1974 it was a significant improvements over previous surgical contouring techniques. Since that time there has been even greater advances that give liposuction one of the safest and most popular reputations in the world.

Men as equally as women are a good candidate for liposuction. A liposuction surgeon meets with each individual to ensure that the patient has realistic expectations about the outcome. Although results can often be dramatic, individuals may find that their individual results are not quite what they anticipated. It's well to note that results from cosmetic surgery can vary depending upon a an individual's age, skin elasticity, weight, and overall health.

Because liposuction is a surgical procedure, it may not be a reasonable option for individuals with underlying medical conditions. It may not be recommended for individuals with diabetes, gross obesity, a weakened immune systems, heart disease, or a history of blood clots.

You are a good candidate if you're not overweight, have healthy elastics skin, and do not have unusual sensitivities. The most common areas where cellulite develops is the abdomen, the back of thighs, upper arms, and the buttocks.

Liposuction Surgery Works For Both Men and Women

Breast liposuction is for women who want to reduce their breast size. Or for men who suffer from gynecomastia. Tumescent liposuction works very well on flabby fat deposits such as the notorious 'love handles'. There also very few difficulties in both men and women with upper arms, the chin and the neck area. Many patients elect various treatments to take advantage of one lipo dissolve session.

There are several different procedures available which use an instrument called a cannula to suck the unwanted fat. Before doing a tumescent liposuction with a cannula, the surgeon injects a large amount of anesthetic into the area being treated. Some surgeons prefer instead to use ultrasonic assisted liposuction where sound waves liquefy the fat before it is removed with the cannula. Power-assisted liposuction uses a motor-powered cannula which allows the surgeon to use smaller movements and is more comfortable for the patient.
